SWVA versus NET ALL-STAR Senior game..

Much progress has been made so far in our SWVA versus NET ALL-STAR Senior game. The game will be played at Science Hill's new Kermit Tipton 's 5 million dollar stadium. Great turf, just got to see it and walk on it today. WJHL did a press conference with coaches and gathered info about the game. It will air tonight at 6pm and 11pm sports times if any are interested in knowing more. Thanks.

It would be neat if they made it a traveling deal. One year in TN and the next in VA.

December 18th 1pm . All Schools from LPD should be represented,as well as clinch mtn.,a few cumberland ,several southwest district, several hogoheegee and few black diamond. Tennessee will be tough to tangle with.

Thanks! Some background info on the game. This game is sponsered by Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Watagua Orthapedics. They do a player of the week award and also player of the year award,Jacob Coleman of Noton won player of the year a couple of years ago. The game is sanctioned by TSSAA. Coaches for Team VA are Chris Thurmond ,Va HIGH, Larry Russell of Chilhowie, John Adams of Lebanon, and Ethan Owens of Ervinton. Tenn will coached by Stacy Carter of Science Hill, Coach Hainey of Sullivan South and other Tenn coaches. 3000 tickets are being printed and will be sold at local high schools where players are from. Tickets are 6 dollars. Game will possibly be filmed by WJHL TV. We hope to have scouts from several colleges there and possibly even a scout from Ga. Tech. The players will be honored at a banquet where they will pick up their jerseys. Va will be Va. Tech colors ,Tenn will be white with orange numbers in black trim. Chick Fila will provide post game meal. Sportsmanship award will be given to a player in memory of Jake Logue who passed away while playing for Sullivan South last year. Science Hill's new field is location of the game, located close to Freedom Hall in JC. The field is very nice,I was told today by the athletic director there ,that the turf cost 800,000 dollars Total stadium cost ,5 million. Theres more I could share, just thought I would give some clarity about this event. Thanks

The only difference I think you will see is that Tennessee will have more speed, size should be pretty even. If the kids from DB play they have amazing speed, Elizabethton, has good speed and so does Tenn. High and Science Hill. I don't know if every school will be represented I would hope so. There are several Sullivan County players who are very good and sometimes get overlooked maybe they can get a chance to show what they can do.

There should be 25 Tenn schools represented.
